PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kung Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Turnbuckle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lao plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Turnbuckle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lao moves away.
Kung Lao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turnbuckle takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lao throws a quick inside leg kick.
Lao throws a front kick that sends Turnbuckle stumbling back into the cage.
Turnbuckle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lao tries to avoid it but Turnbuckle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lao to the ground. Lao escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Turnbuckle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Turnbuckle throws a hook to the side of Lao's head but Lao sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Turnbuckle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lao sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Turnbuckle to the ground! Lao dives into full mount looking to finish!

Turnbuckle shoots in looking for a takedown. Lao tries to sprawl out of it but Turnbuckle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lao manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A head kick lands from Lao that sends Turnbuckle to the canvas. Turnbuckle tries to scramble back to his feet but Lao brings him back down into side control.

Lao throws an elbow but Turnbuckle slips to the side and avoids it well.

A head kick from Lao lands but Turnbuckle takes it in his stride.

Lao plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Turnbuckle crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lao - the referee stops the clock and Turnbuckle gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lao. Turnbuckle manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Turnbuckle is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lao is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Turnbuckle.

Lao lands a high kick to the side of Turnbuckle's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Lao dives into guard, looking to finish.
Lao is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Turnbuckle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lao is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Turnbuckle can do to turn this around?
