Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Ferrigno!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ferrigno has time to react.
Ferrigno ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bronson moves away.
Bronson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ferrigno backs up against the cage.


It looks like Lou Ferrigno has been cut.
Ferrigno drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ferrigno closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bronson quickly recovers to half guard.
Ferrigno is pressing down on Bronson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bronson is holding on for now.

Ferrigno looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Ferrigno wants to control the pace but Bronson is squirming around nicely.
Bronson wants to hold on but Ferrigno pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ferrigno wants to finish this one by submission but Bronson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ferrigno.

Ferrigno has hold of Bronson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bronson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ferrigno tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Ferrigno goes for an armbar but Bronson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bronson.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bronson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ferrigno is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bronson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bronson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ferrigno has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bronson has managed to get both his arms back between Ferrigno's legs - danger averted.

Ferrigno is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ferrigno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bronson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ferrigno is looking for a triangle but Bronson pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bronson postures up in Ferrigno's guard and throws a big left but Ferrigno blocks it.
Ferrigno tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ferrigno is trying to control the position but Bronson postures up.
Bronson connects with a couple of short punches.

Ferrigno working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bronson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bronson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bronson cracks Ferrigno with a solid left hand.

Ferrigno had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bronson defends it easily.
Ferrigno lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bronson!

Ferrigno swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lou Ferrigno!
Lou Ferrigno gave a mention to Ultra Fight Gear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
