Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Cat! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cat scores with a body shot.
Cat gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miller to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cat is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miller defends well. Cat controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself. Miller wants to pass the guard but Cat is keeping the position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Miller's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Miller chips away with some ground and pound. Cat keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cat looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cat has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller distracts Cat with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Cat preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Miller connects with a couple of short punches. Cat trying to keep a closed guard but Miller is proving a slippery customer.

Cat has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Miller is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cat defends it well. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Miller lands a nice short elbow. Miller seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Miller winds up and cracks Cat with a swinging punch to the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Miller is nestled in close to Cat, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Miller slips a nice elbow through Cat's hands, connecting with Cat's forehead. Cat is concentrating on defense, preventing Miller from advancing position. Cat is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cat manages to get to full guard.

James Miller dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Miller shoots for a takedown but Cat saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Miller avoids a punch combination nicely.
Miller moves away from the strike by Cat. Miller with a lazy takedown attempt and Cat counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Miller shoots in looking for a takedown but Cat manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cat misses with a wild combination.
No joy there for Cat, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Miller walks into a straight right hand from Cat. James Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That kick from Cat tenderised Miller's leg. Miller is trying to keep his angry face on. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cat scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Miller is looking to clinch.

Oh but Cat is tightening it up a little... Miller has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Miller reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Miller taps out! Nice BJJ there by Cat!
