Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Elliet Junior Shnitkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Redman - Da goodness. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blake Elliet Junior Shnitkey ! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Junior Shnitkey . Smith avoids a punch combination nicely.
Smith slips under a jab. Junior Shnitkey misses with a few strikes there.
Junior Shnitkey has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Junior Shnitkey throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Smith counters with a three punch combo that has Junior Shnitkey backing up. Junior Shnitkey nods at Smith to acknowledge the strikes. Smith feints and as Junior Shnitkey raises his hands in defense, Smith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Junior Shnitkey avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Smith passes Junior Shnitkey 's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Junior Shnitkey blocking the ground and pound attempt from Smith. Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Junior Shnitkey sees it coming and defends easily. Smith not landing any meaningful shots this time. Smith tries to pass the half guard into mount. Junior Shnitkey knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Junior Shnitkey tries to kick Smith off but Smith keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Junior Shnitkey is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard. Junior Shnitkey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith is trying to work for a kimura but Junior Shnitkey is defending well.
Junior Shnitkey wants to get back to full guard. Smith is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Junior Shnitkey is just riding it out for now. Smith eventually gives up the hold. Junior Shnitkey avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smith.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Junior Shnitkey trying to control but Smith postures up.
Smith missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Smith is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Junior Shnitkey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Smith. Smith not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Smith with the ground and pound but Junior Shnitkey uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Junior Shnitkey wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him. Smith works over Junior Shnitkey with some ground and pound from guard. Smith missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Smith is looking to work some ground and pound but Junior Shnitkey has wrist control. Smith is in close to Junior Shnitkey 's body, working some short punches and elbows. Junior Shnitkey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Junior Shnitkey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Junior Shnitkey stalling away here and it's allowed Smith to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Junior Shnitkey would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Smith dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand! Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Junior Shnitkey .

and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Junior Shnitkey lands a nice shot that snaps Smith's head back.
Junior Shnitkey throws a combination that misses and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Junior Shnitkey lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smith at a distance.
Blake Elliet Junior Shnitkey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Junior Shnitkey throws a lazy uppercut
and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Junior Shnitkey lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Junior Shnitkey dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Junior Shnitkey swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Smith lands a stunning uppercut that sends Junior Shnitkey to the mat!

That's one minute gone in the round. Smith maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Junior Shnitkey could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Smith has cracked it and Junior Shnitkey is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Smith!
