Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Igor Nabokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clive Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nabokov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sparks - The Who. Allen has chosen The World's Greatest as his entrance music. Igor Nabokov has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen throws a series of punches but Nabokov avoids them all with ease.
Nabokov with a lazy takedown attempt
and Allen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Igor Nabokov has been cut.
Allen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nabokov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nabokov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Allen wants to clinch but Nabokov slips to the side
and Nabokov counters with an inside leg kick.
Allen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Clive Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nabokov ducks right into an uppercut from Allen.
Nabokov dodges the punch combination from Allen.
Allen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Allen can't control as he wanted to and Nabokov manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Allen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nabokov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nabokov is working for an americana but Allen has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Nabokov was thinking about the submission.

Nabokov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Allen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Allen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Allen!
Allen throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Nabokov works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Nabokov tries to roll over but Allen keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Nabokov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Allen tries to clinch but Nabokov moves out of range.

Nabokov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Nabokov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Allen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Allen and Nabokov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Allen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Allen is looking to regain half guard here but Nabokov keeps moving and retains side control.
Nabokov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Allen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Nice takedown defense from Allen. No joy for Nabokov on that attempt.
Nabokov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Allen circles away quickly and effectively.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Allen kicks Nabokov off and gets to his feet.
Allen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nabokov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Nabokov jumps guard but Allen stands there with Nabokov around his waist. Nabokov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Nabokov closes the distance and clinches up with Allen, looking for a takedown. Nabokov pushes Allen against the cage but Allen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
