Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, B Ron Trilliss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ropati fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Trilliss avoids it really well and circles away.

Trilliss manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ropati on his heels. He'll look to pass Ropati's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Trilliss is in close to Ropati's body, working some short punches and elbows.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trilliss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ropati can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ropati really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trilliss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Trilliss is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Ropati is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Ropati flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Trilliss anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Ropati and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Trilliss slips an arm under Ropati chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Trilliss has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Trilliss is squeezing on Ropati like an anaconda would it's prey. Ropati fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). B Ron Trilliss!
