Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seb Bastion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Blackmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastion throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blackmore's waist but Blackmore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bastion off to one side.
Bastion walks into a jab.
Blackmore slips a jab and a cross from Bastion.
Bastion bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Blackmore's head backwards.

Bastion looking to score a takedown here. Blackmore is defending well but Bastion drives through and ends up in Blackmore's guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bastion with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bastion throwing strikes but missing.

Bastion throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blackmore works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bastion wants to control from the top but Blackmore keeps moving.

Bastion trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bastion sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blackmore's guard.
Blackmore is not content to let Bastion control the position.
Bastion tries to pass the half guard into mount. Blackmore knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bastion throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Blackmore to regain full guard.

Bastion pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Blackmore is keeping the position for now.
Bastion passes into half guard.
Blackmore trying to hold on to Bastion's head to control him but Bastion postures up.

Bastion is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blackmore doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bastion.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blackmore wants to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blackmore squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bastion looking to control but Blackmore is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Blackmore is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Bastion has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Blackmore throws a strike but Bastion rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Blackmore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bastion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Blackmore lands with an overhand left.

Seb Bastion is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Blackmore engages and cracks Bastion with a massive lead left hook - Bastion tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Blackmore is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
