Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Miquel Costas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georg Sachie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Georg Sachie enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miquel Costas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Georg Sachie!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sachie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Costas misses with a body kick.

It looks like Georg Sachie has been cut.
Sachie slips a jab and a cross from Costas.

Costas throws a body punch but Sachie moves out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Costas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Costas tries to bum rush Sachie with a series of wild strikes but Sachie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sachie shoots in looking for a takedown. Costas tries to sprawl out of it but Sachie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Costas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Costas throws a right and a left that Sachie avoids nicely.
Sachie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Costas pinned against the cage. Costas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Costas tries to close the distance and clinch but Sachie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Costas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Costas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sachie.

Costas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Costas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Sachie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Costas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Costas gets caught napping as Sachie dives in and scores a takedown. Costas manages to retain guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Costas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sachie is controlling him.

Sachie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Costas looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Costas looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Costas!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sachie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Costas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sachie sees it coming and defends easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Miquel Costas will probably get the nod.

Costas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Costas shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Costas was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

I would just about give that final round to Georg Sachie.
