Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kong King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacek Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kong King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacek Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kowalski moves away.
Kowalski darts in trying to clinch
and King counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
King throws an off balance right hand

and Kowalski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in King's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
King is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
King utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kowalski trying to move into half guard but instead King has managed to sweep!
Kowalski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
King lands a couple of digs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
King wanted to stand there but Kowalski had control of the position.
King works a leg free and moves into half guard.

King seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
King sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kowalski defending well though.
King looks to land a strike but Kowalski avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King throws an elbow that misses. Kowalski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in King's guard. Nice move by Kowalski!
King wants to stand but Kowalski is controlling the position.

King has his feet on Kowalski's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
King throws out a leg kick but Kowalski moves out of range and King only half commits.
Kowalski throws a jab but it's blocked by King.
King throws a lazy right hand but Kowalski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kowalski is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kowalski fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice uppercut lands for King. That snapped Kowalski's head back.
King is looking to chop away at Kowalski's legs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away.
King lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
King throws a poor cross that misses

and Kowalski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
King wants to break the clinch but can't.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
King walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kowalski checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kowalski defending well as King loads up on a big left hand.
King just misses with a punch to the body.
Kowalski checks a leg kick.
King digs a good body shot into Kowalski's ribs.
Kowalski misses with a takedown attempt
enabling King to counter with a crisp jab.
Kong King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

King throws a front kick aimed at Kowalski's knee but Kowalski avoids it well.
King throws a jab but it's blocked by Kowalski.
King swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kong King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kowalski rushes King and presses him up against the cage.
Kowalski tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Kowalski has clasped his hands together around King's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King regains half guard, as Kowalski was trying to land strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kowalski prevents King from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kong King dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by King.
Kowalski staying out of range there.
Kowalski moves to clinch but King breaks away
and King counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kowalski checks a low kick from King.
Kowalski closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away.
King just misses with a punch to the body.
King throws a solid leg kick but Kowalski takes the impact on his shin and smiles at King.
Kowalski is looking to clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kowalski checks a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King lands the left hand.
King throws a right hand that misses
and Kowalski counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
King lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kowalski fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kowalski wants to clinch.
Kowalski throws a jab but it's blocked by King.

King gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kowalski to score an easy takedown into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as King works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kowalski stands and throws King's legs to the side, diving into side control.
King tries to bench press Kowalski off him but Kowalski keeps the position.

Kowalski tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King prevents Kowalski from moving into mount.

King manages to get back to half guard.
King is trying to get back to full guard.
King is refusing to be controlled, as Kowalski sits in half guard.
King is trying to maintain the position but Kowalski is very close to passing his half guard.
Kowalski thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Kowalski is working for a kimura but King is defending it quite comfortably.
Kowalski trying to advance position but King counters by regaining guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. King is keeping the position for now.
King keeping moving, preventing Kowalski from controlling successfully.
King is looking to stand up but Kowalski isn't so interested in that idea.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kowalski trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jacek Kowalski will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! King's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

King misses with a hook.
King slips under a jab.
Kowalski moves in looking to clinch but King pushes him off.

Kowalski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in King's guard.
Kowalski wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position.
King is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
King wants to pass to mount but Kowalski is defending the position.

Kowalski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
King throwing shots but Kowalski is blocking nicely.
King seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Kowalski works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kowalski looking for a sweep. Not yet Kowalski, not yet.
Kowalski looking to control.
Kowalski wants to control the position but King says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from King.
Kowalski looking to control.
King cracks Kowalski with a solid left hand.
King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kowalski works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
King is looking to stand up but Kowalski won't let him.
King postures up in Kowalski's guard and throws a big left but Kowalski blocks it.
Kowalski keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.
Jacek Kowalski has got the better of the ground game so far.

King stands and steps away. Kowalski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

King throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kowalski doesn't manage to clinch there - King circles away.
Kowalski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King misses with a looping left.
Kowalski avoids the body shot from King.
Kowalski slips under a jab.
King scores with a leg kick.
King throws the left hand but Kowalski avoids the punch easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kowalski.
King thows a left - swing and a miss!

Kowalski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. King is trying to defend but Kowalski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
King is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kowalski's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kowalski's back!
King somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
King throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
King has Kowalski flattened out and is raining down punches.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kong King showed his dominance in that final round.
I think King has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
