Mayweather's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Given Up - Linkin Park. Magakian has chosen Sevak Magakian Highlights as his entrance music. Sevak Magakian is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magakian closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mayweather circles away.
Magakian wants to clinch.
Mayweather circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mayweather takes a swing at Magakian's ribcage but misses.
Magakian shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Magakian misses with a combination
and Mayweather counters with an outside leg kick.

Magakian fails to land the takedown.
Ray Mayweather has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sevak Magakian.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Magakian throws a strike aimed at the side of Mayweather's head but Mayweather avoids it well.
Magakian has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mayweather throws Magakian to one side and escapes!

Mayweather breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ray Mayweather is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sloppy strikes from Magakian. Those never looked like landing.

Mayweather lands a nice looking body kick.
Magakian on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Mayweather counters with a crisp one two that drops Magakian! Mayweather thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Magakian to his feet! Magakian is in big trouble!
Magakian slips a jab and a cross from Mayweather.
Mayweather darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Magakian's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Mayweather before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

After winning the bout, Ray Mayweather thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
