Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonah Sumrall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nevsky comes to the cage accompanied by Not Afraid - Eminem. Sumrall has chosen Kutless - Smile as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Nevsky! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonah Sumrall! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nevsky throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sumrall counters by clinching up. Sumrall lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nevsky backwards. Nevsky takes a knee right on the jaw!
Sumrall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sumrall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sumrall wants it to stay on the feet. Nevsky lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sumrall backs up against the cage.
Sumrall gets caught napping as Nevsky dives in and scores a takedown. Sumrall manages to retain guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Nevsky throwing strikes but missing. Nevsky throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sumrall avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sumrall has Nevsky pulled in close to control his posture. Sumrall is trying to control the position but Nevsky postures up. Nevsky lands a couple of digs. Sumrall utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Nevsky throws an elbow that misses. Sumrall uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nevsky's guard. Nice move by Sumrall! Nevsky has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sumrall should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Nevsky has tightened it up now! Sumrall should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Alexander Nevsky! Alexander Nevsky retains his light heavyweight title!
