The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mavroeidis swats away the attempt to clinch by Dos Santos.
Mavroeidis slips a jab and a cross from Dos Santos.

Mavroeidis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mavroeidis throws out a leg kick but Dos Santos moves out of range and Mavroeidis only half commits.
Petros Mavroeidis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mavroeidis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dos Santos lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mavroeidis!

Dos Santos is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dos Santos frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dos Santos is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Mavroeidis is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Mavroeidis flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Dos Santos anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Mavroeidis and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Dos Santos slips an arm under Mavroeidis chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Dos Santos has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Dos Santos is squeezing on Mavroeidis like an anaconda would it's prey. Mavroeidis fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dwayne Dos Santos!
Dwayne Dos Santos gave a mention to CEC Nutrition Q160 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
