Carter Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Rise Inside by Killswitch Engage. Viedt has chosen Prophecies as his entrance music. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viedt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carter Jr is fending him off so far but Viedt persists. Nope, Carter Jr circles away and we're back to standing.
Carter Jr throws a head kick but Viedt moves out of range.

Viedt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter Jr tries to avoid it but Viedt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter Jr to the ground. Carter Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Carter Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dwayne Carter Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Viedt shoots for a takedown but Carter Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dwayne Carter Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Viedt.
Carter Jr thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Viedt if he has to take too many more of those.
Viedt shoots in for a double leg but Carter Jr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Viedt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carter Jr circles away.
Carter Jr steps into range and cracks Viedt with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Viedt flops backwards and Carter Jr dives into his guard looking to finish!
Viedt is rocked!
It looks like Adrian Viedt has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carter Jr works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Viedt is still in real trouble! Can Carter Jr finish him?

Carter Jr frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Carter Jr moves to take his opponent's back.
Viedt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carter Jr lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter Jr is working the ground and pound. Can Viedt escape?
Carter Jr tries to get the hooks in deep but Viedt pushed the leg off.
Carter Jr working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Viedt is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Carter Jr has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Viedt taps out!
