Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Bobbet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson has chosen When love takes over as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rick Bobbet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyson shoots in and bounces Bobbet off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tyson preventing the sweep.
Tyson postures up and lands a big shot to Bobbet's brow.
Bobbet wants to stand but Tyson is controlling the position.

Bobbet keeping moving, preventing Tyson from controlling successfully.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tyson tries to clinch up but Bobbet circles away and keeps his distance.

Tyson shoots in looking for a takedown. Bobbet tries to sprawl out of it but Tyson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bobbet manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bobbet shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bobbet was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Tyson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Tyson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
It looks like Bobbet is going to stand back up.
Bobbet not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bobbet trying to mount his opponent but Tyson defends it.

Bobbet is thwarting Tyson's attempts to control the position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Tyson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bobbet gets to his feet. Tyson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bobbet throws a right and a left that Tyson avoids nicely.
Bobbet scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tyson throws a head kick but Bobbet moves out of range.

Bobbet pushes Tyson up against the cage in a clinch.
Bobbet has had enough of the clinch but Tyson keeps him there for the moment.

Tyson shoots in for a takedown but Bobbet shows good takedown defense.
Some wild striking there from Bobbet.
Tyson shoots for a takedown but Bobbet saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rick Bobbet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Tyson.

Tyson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bobbet as he jumps to the side.

Bobbet throws a right hand that Tyson ducks under and follows up with a left that Tyson also avoids with ease.
Bobbet is looking to clinch but Tyson is avoiding it.

Bobbet throws a shot from downtown. Tyson moves away and avoids it.
Tyson misses with a takedown
and Bobbet counters with a three punch combo that has Tyson backing up. Tyson nods at Bobbet to acknowledge the strikes.
Bobbet keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Tyson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bobbet looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bobbet is not content to let Tyson control the position.
Bobbet is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tyson is controlling him well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobbet shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bobbet was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Tyson is looking to improve his position but Bobbet isn't that keen on the idea.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Bobbet connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Tyson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Bobbet working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tyson's head.
Tyson is looking to sweep but instead, Bobbet has passed into half guard.
Tyson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bobbet is working away from the top position though.
Bobbet tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Tyson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bobbet works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bobbet looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Bobbet knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tyson on the ground.

Poor strikes thrown by Bobbet there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Bobbet sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tyson's guard.

Tyson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bobbet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tyson is tightening it up a little... Bobbet has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bobbet reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bobbet taps out! nice BJJ there by Tyson!
