The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones sizes up Te Rua with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Te Rua changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jones is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Te Rua is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Jones is trying to escape and Te Rua transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Jones is forced to tap! Nice work there by Te Rua! Very nice indeed!
