The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton throws a low kick but Sobral avoids it.
Sobral tries to move into range but Hamilton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hamilton shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A left lands for Sobral.
Hamilton tries to clinch but Sobral is having none of it.
Good work by Sobral as he checks the leg kick.
Sobral walks into a jab.
It looks like Renato Sobral has been cut.
Hamilton fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sobral.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sobral rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hamilton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hamilton wants to clinch up but Sobral keeps it at a distance.

and Sobral counters with a head kick. That will keep Hamilton thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Hamilton tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Sobral manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hamilton has Sobral pressed against the ropes, preventing Sobral from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Sobral takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice straight punches there by Sobral. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sobral.
Hamilton turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Donk. Hamilton catches Sobral right on the button with a cross.
A head kick from Sobral lands but Hamilton takes it in his stride.
Hamilton throws an overhand right that lands on Sobral's shoulder, as Sobral tries to avoid the shot.
Hamilton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hamilton looks winded!
Hamilton throws a leg kick
and Sobral cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hamilton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hamilton is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sobral had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Sobral counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hamilton closes the distance and clinches.
Hamilton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sobral looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sobral lands a high kick to the side of Hamilton's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Sobral dives into guard, looking to finish.

Sobral lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

and Sobral counters with a huge left! Hamilton is in big trouble! He's backing up but Sobral isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hamilton from any more damage. A dominating finish by Sobral!
