The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darko scores with a body shot.
Sytsevich tries to clinch up but Darko circles away and keeps his distance.
Darko scores with a punch to the head.
Sytsevich on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Darko. Darko obviously looking to wear him down.
Darko scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Darko throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sytsevich takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sytsevich looks winded!
Darko lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A nice inside leg kick there by Darko. That's going to slow Sytsevich down.

Darko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Darko connects with an inside leg kick.
Darko buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Darko fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sytsevich has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Darko throws a sloppy head kick and Sytsevich moves out of range easily.
Darko connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sytsevich. Sytsevich circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Darko looks for the body kick but Sytsevich saw that one coming.

Darko connects with a leg kick. Sytsevich looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Darko scores with a leg kick.
Darko lands a leg kick that knocks Sytsevich off balance momentarily.

Sytsevich takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Darko throws a nice inside leg kick.

Sytsevich is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Darko.
It looks like Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich has been cut.
Darko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sytsevich should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sytsevich tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Darko connects with a jab.
Donnie Darko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darko fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Darko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sytsevich. That did some damage!
Darko throws a push kick but Sytsevich slaps the foot to one side.
Darko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Sytsevich takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
An inside leg kick lands from Darko.
Darko throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Darko lands a leg kick that knocks Sytsevich off balance momentarily.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Darko - that will leave a mark!
Darko moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Darko scores with a push kick.

A chopping leg kick lands by Darko.
Sytsevich takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sytsevich has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Darko.
Darko fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Darko lands a big head kick that sends Sytsevich tumbling to the mat! Darko takes a step backwards and waves Sytsevich back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sytsevich walks straight into a right hand from Darko - that's dropped him! Darko jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Sytsevich from any more punishment! Sytsevich complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Donnie Darko!
