Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Milo Azyr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarkko Rautavaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarkko Rautavaara is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Milo Azyr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jarkko Rautavaara! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Azyr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rautavaara moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rautavaara takes the fight into the clinch. Rautavaara slows down the pace here.
Rautavaara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Azyr closes the distance looking to clinch and Rautavaara counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Rautavaara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rautavaara throws a combination that misses and Azyr counters with a nice leg kick. Rautavaara cracks Azyr with a good jab. Azyr wants to clinch and Rautavaara decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Azyr's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rautavaara is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Azyr preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rautavaara trying to control but Azyr is working from the bottom. Rautavaara wants to pass the guard but Azyr is keeping the position. Azyr wants to stand but Rautavaara is controlling the position. Rautavaara slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Azyr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rautavaara has picked Azyr up and slammed him! Azyr can't keep hold of the triangle and Rautavaara manages to pass to side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Azyr taking punishment in the form of punches.
Rautavaara tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rautavaara has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rautavaara controlling the position. Azyr is looking to regain half guard here but Rautavaara keeps moving and retains side control. Rautavaara tries to move to mount but Azyr blocks the move with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Rautavaara trying to control the position but Azyr is working away. Rautavaara is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Rautavaara working the ground and pound from side control. Rautavaara lands some shots froms side control. Azyr is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Azyr is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rautavaara off and has taken his back! Azyr is breathing heavily. Rautavaara rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Azyr is tying to control. Rautavaara wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rautavaara trying to control from the bottom.

Azyr gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rautavaara lands a left hand.

Azyr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rautavaara smiles and moves away.
Azyr scores with a one two! Rautavaara had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rautavaara is looking to clinch. Azyr clinches but Rautavaara breaks the clinch and Rautavaara counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rautavaara.

Rautavaara tries to clinch up but Azyr circles away and keeps his distance. Milo Azyr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rautavaara tries to close the distance and clinch up but Azyr swats him away and circles back towards the center. Azyr tries to clinch but fails miserably and Rautavaara counters with a nice double leg into side control. Azyr won't be happy with that. Azyr prevents Rautavaara from improving position. Azyr is looking for a sweep. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rautavaara remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Azyr is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rautavaara is looking to take a break and control but Azyr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rautavaara controls the position. Azyr looks to move to half guard but instead Rautavaara has passed into mount! Damn! Rautavaara cracks Azyr with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Azyr tries to hold on but Rautavaara pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Azyr manages to regain half guard. Good work. Rautavaara is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Azyr is just riding it out for now. Rautavaara eventually gives up the hold. Azyr tries to roll over but Rautavaara keeps him under control. Rautavaara throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Azyr looking for submissions off his back. Rautavaara thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rautavaara takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Azyr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rautavaara is working away from the top position though. Rautavaara winds up and cracks Azyr with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rautavaara misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Azyr.
Rautavaara looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jarkko Rautavaara showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Rautavaara throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Azyr. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Azyr thows a leg kick but Rautavaara checks it and Rautavaara counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rautavaara. Rautavaara successfully pulls guard.
Rautavaara is controlling Azyr's posture. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rautavaara looking to hit a scissor sweep but Azyr is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Azyr throwing strikes from guard but Rautavaara blocks nicely. Rautavaara looking to control.
Rautavaara keeping moving, preventing Azyr from controlling successfully. Rautavaara bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Azyr's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rautavaara trying to control the position from guard on top but Azyr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Azyr can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rautavaara controls the pace. Rautavaara's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Rautavaara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Azyr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rautavaara trying to control the position from guard on top but Azyr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Azyr is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rautavaara closes the distance and clinches. Azyr tries to score a body lock takedown but Rautavaara shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rautavaara breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Azyr tries to keep at a distance but Rautavaara has taken the fight into the clinch. Azyr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rautavaara just stands there and leans against the cage. Azyr drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milo Azyr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rautavaara content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Milo Azyr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Azyr looking to stall.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rautavaara scores with a shot to the body.
Rautavaara takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And that's the end of the fight! Jarkko Rautavaara comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rautavaara has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
