Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gracie was covering up waiting for the punch and Green finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Green has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Green throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely.
Green trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Green drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Green has Gracie in his guard.

Green wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.

Green drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick Green off! Green jumps back into Gracie's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Green closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gracie to the mat! Gracie manages to get full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Green moves to clinch but Gracie breaks away
so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Green has locked up a guillotine! Green's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Gracie is holding on here and Green must be using up a lot of energy. Gracie has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Green gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Eugene Green got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
