Brooks has chosen Born Ready as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott moves into range and clinches up with Brooks.
Scott gets underhooks to prevent Brooks's takedown attempt.

Scott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brooks digs a good body shot into Scott's ribs.
Brooks tries to clinch there but Scott circles away.
Brooks throws a head kick but Scott moves out of range.
Nice body kick from Scott.
Nice sprawl there from Brooks as Scott shoots in.
No luck for Brooks with that takedown attempt.

and Brooks counters with a stiff right hand.
Brooks tries to clinch but Scott moves out of range.
Eric Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brooks takes a kick to the side of the head.

Scott moves into range and clinches up with Brooks.
Brooks is still on wobbly legs! Can Scott finish him?
Brooks tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Scott smiles and moves away.
Brooks seems to have recovered his senses.
Denny Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Brooks.
Brooks looks to land a combination but Scott avoids it well.
A head kick by Brooks misses
and Scott counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Brooks looks gassed!
Nice body kick there by Scott.

Scott rushes Brooks and presses him up against the cage.
Brooks has Scott pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Scott manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Scott connects with a knee to the head.
Brooks goes for a takedown in the clinch but Scott prevents it.

Brooks can't get the takedown.
Brooks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Scott breaks from the clinch.
Brooks lands a left and a right that sends Scott crashing to the canvas! Brooks dives into mount looking to finish!

Scott is rocked!

It looks like Denny Scott has been cut.
Brooks drops a big elbow. That's hurt Scott! More shots from Brooks and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
