Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Habanero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrick Skiter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Habanero comes to the cage accompanied by NERD - Rockstar. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrick Skiter!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Skiter.
A punch combination from Skiter misses.
Habanero looks to land a combination but Skiter avoids it well.
Skiter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Habanero was well out of range. Poor timing from Skiter.
Skiter misses the body punch
and Habanero connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Habanero ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A combination from Skiter does no damage.
Skiter misses with a lunging right hand
and Habanero makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Habanero misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Skiter.
Habanero ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Skiter throws an off balance right hand
and Habanero counters with a good low kick that Skiter was not able to check.
Habanero misses with a body punch
and Skiter counters with a two punch combo.
Habanero throws out a powerful jab.
Habanero takes a swing at Skiter's ribcage but misses.

Habanero lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Habanero thuds his right hand into Skiter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Habanero scores with a head kick. Skiter tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Habanero dodges the punch combination from Skiter.
Skiter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Habanero. Skiter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Habanero lands a jab to Skiter's midsection.
Habanero dodges the punch combination from Skiter.
Skiter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Habanero counters with a slapping leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A chopping leg kick lands by Habanero.
Habanero moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Habanero turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Skiter works the jab nicely.
Skiter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Habanero counters with a leg kick.
Skiter looks winded!
Skiter walks into a stiff left hand from Habanero.
Habanero throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Skiter takes one to the side of the head.
Skiter loads up on a big right hand but Habanero slips the punch.
Rodrick Skiter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Habanero lands with an uppercut that bounces Skiter off the cage and back into range.
Habanero connects with a crisp jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Habanero misses with a series of wild punches.
Habanero scores with a sloppy right hand. Skiter should have avoided that one.
Skiter sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Habanero paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Habanero throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Habanero moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A jab from Habanero finds it's way through Skiter's defenses.
Skiter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Habanero.
Skiter moves into range and connects with a jab.
Skiter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Habanero.
Habanero is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Habanero tries a head kick but it misses.
Skiter throws a body punch but Habanero moves out of range.
Skiter's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Habanero bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Skiter's head.
Skiter throws a hook but Habanero avoids it easily.

Oooooh!!! Habanero has knocked Skiter down with a huge combo! Habanero steps away and waves a wobbly Skiter back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Skiter is rocked!


It looks like Rodrick Skiter has been cut.
Habanero connects with a superb combination that knocks Skiter out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Habanero before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Skiter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rafael Habanero!
Rafael Habanero retains his middleweight title!
Post fight, Rafael Habanero took to the microphone: 'I'm gonna eat some good steaks at Mad Bank.'.
