Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warrior kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ultimate Warrior Entrance. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ultimate Warrior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warrior throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mir was covering up waiting for the punch and Warrior finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Warrior gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mir is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Warrior is working Mir over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Warrior is pushing down on Mir's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mir is fighting to maintain full guard but Warrior has managed to sneak the leg through. Warrior tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mir. Mir on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Warrior working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Mir looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mir is trying to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Warrior seems content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warrior takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mir actively working from the bottom here. Mir looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Warrior keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Warrior is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Warrior knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground. Warrior works his foot free and advances to mount. Warrior controlling the position easily from mount. Mir working to try and regain half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Warrior content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Warrior has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ultimate Warrior. Warrior shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mir is trying to defend but Warrior finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ground and pound from Warrior.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Warrior works his foot free and advances to mount. Warrior looking to finish Mir with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mir! Warrior lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Mir has given up his back. Will we see Warrior going for some submissions?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Warrior tightening his grip on Mir, looking for the choke. Mir is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Warrior gets his way!
Mir rolls, trying to escape but Warrior keeps control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Warrior lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Mir takes a big shot to the side of the head.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Warrior controlling the positon. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Warrior softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Mir is rocked! Mir looks winded! Warrior is looking for the choke from the back position but Mir is controlling his hands well. Mir is still in real trouble! Can Warrior finish him? Mir turns into Warrior and is now in his guard.
Mir seems to have recovered his senses. Warrior wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Warrior looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Warrior tries to strike from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ultimate Warrior dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Warrior fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mir, pushing him back against the cage. Warrior breaks from the clinch.
Warrior fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mir to the ground. Warrior is now in Mir's guard. Mir can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Warrior controls the pace. Warrior stands up from guard. Let's bang! Warrior forces Mir back against the cage and clinches. Warrior pulls guard successfully.
Warrior is adopting a defensive guard. Mir tries to free his leg and advance position but Warrior is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warrior is controlling Mir's posture. Mir is looking to pass into half guard but Warrior pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Warrior is in guard. Warrior seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Warrior wants to pass the guard but Mir is keeping the position. Warrior slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We're going to have a standup here because Ultimate Warrior wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Warrior is looking to score with low kicks. Warrior has taken the fight to the clinch.
Warrior lands with a short shot to the head. Mir should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir tries to pull guard but Warrior holds him up against the cage and eventually Mir drops back down to his feet.
Warrior is pressed up against the cage. Mir has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Warrior down to the mat. Warrior avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Warrior looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mir! Warrior lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mir is trying to work for a sweep but Warrior has mounted him! Warrior sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mir tries to reverse the position but Warrior maintains control. Warrior controlling the pace for now. Warrior is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mir to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mir shrugs it off. Ultimate Warrior overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Warrior takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Warrior postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mir looks a forlorn figure.
Mir is breathing heavily. Warrior postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Mir out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Warrior goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ultimate Warrior! After the fight, Ultimate Warrior was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
