Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gab Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Maci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mario Maci has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gab Batista's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista fails with a takedown attempt.
Maci looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Maci walks forward, straight into a front kick from Batista.
Maci stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maci wants it to stay on the feet.
Batista shoots in looking for a takedown. Maci tries to sprawl out of it but Batista keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maci manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gab Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Batista misses with a takedown attempt - Maci sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Batista throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maci's waist but Maci gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Batista off to one side.

Batista slips a jab and a cross from Maci.
Batista throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Maci's head.

so Maci counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maci wants to stand but Batista is controlling his posture from full guard.

Batista is looking to sinch up a triangle. Maci throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Batista's body to avoid the submission. Batista has instead reached around Maci's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Batista arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
