The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries for a takedown but Belfort sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Belfort digs a good body shot into Johnson's ribs.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Belfort sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Belfort.
Johnson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Johnson moves into the clinch.
Johnson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Belfort.
Belfort fails to pull guard.
Belfort is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Johnson goes for a takedown attempt but Belfort pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Belfort gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is trying to control but Belfort manages to pass to mount!

Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Belfort's attempts to control the action.

Belfort jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Johnson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Johnson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Belfort off and has taken his back!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Johnson doesn't have the hooks in and Belfort manages to turn into his guard.

Belfort drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Belfort as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Johnson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Belfort! Nice submission victory there!
