Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rakhmetov Chernyshevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Sahebt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chernyshevsky comes to the cage accompanied by The Sisters of Mercy -- Lucretia. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rakhmetov Chernyshevsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Sahebt!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sahebt cracks Chernyshevsky with an open hand slap.
Chernyshevsky throws a nice outside leg kick.
Chernyshevsky stuffs the takedown attempt from Sahebt. Sahebt gets slowly back to his feet.
Sahebt connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Chernyshevsky blocks a head kick by Sahebt.
Chernyshevsky throws a series of punches but Sahebt avoids them all with ease.
Chernyshevsky misses with a wild body shot.
Chernyshevsky lands a nice shot to the body.
Sahebt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chernyshevsky. Chernyshevsky obviously looking to wear him down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chernyshevsky misses with the combination.
Sahebt takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sahebt tries to close the distance and clinch but Chernyshevsky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sahebt throws a hook but Chernyshevsky avoids it easily.
Chernyshevsky dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sahebt misses with a straight left.
Sahebt looks to clinch
and Chernyshevsky counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A head kick misses from Sahebt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sahebt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Chernyshevsky lands a lovely overhand right.
Sahebt lands with a cross.
Sahebt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sahebt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chernyshevsky lands a front kick.
A slow jab from Sahebt misses its intended target.
Sahebt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rakhmetov Chernyshevsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Sahebt.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Chernyshevsky wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

James Sahebt has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Chernyshevsky bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sahebt tries to close the distance and clinch but Chernyshevsky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chernyshevsky scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sahebt doesn't seem bothered though.
Sahebt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chernyshevsky.
Chernyshevsky throws a wild body kick that Sahebt sees coming a mile off.
Sahebt throws a big shot that misses.
Chernyshevsky fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sahebt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chernyshevsky. Chernyshevsky obviously looking to wear him down.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chernyshevsky.
Sahebt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Chernyshevsky scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sahebt.
Sahebt has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Chernyshevsky finds it's way round the side to connect with Sahebt's head.

Sahebt fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chernyshevsky cracks Sahebt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sahebt lands a nice shot to the body.
Chernyshevsky dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Chernyshevsky scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sahebt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sahebt's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Sahebt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chernyshevsky swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sahebt throws a hook but Chernyshevsky blocks it.

Sahebt looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chernyshevsky works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Chernyshevsky pushes Sahebt away with a front kick.
Chernyshevsky displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sahebt throws out the jab.
Chernyshevsky misses with the combination.
Chernyshevsky scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sahebt doesn't seem bothered though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sahebt gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Chernyshevsky is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Sahebt throws a lazy right hand but Chernyshevsky sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Chernyshevsky's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sahebt under the eye.

Sahebt shoots in and bounces Chernyshevsky off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Chernyshevsky tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sahebt wanted to stand there but Chernyshevsky had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rakhmetov Chernyshevsky will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Sahebt tries to close the distance and clinch but Chernyshevsky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sahebt takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Chernyshevsky tests Sahebt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sahebt paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Sahebt gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Chernyshevsky misses with a straight right.
Sahebt throws a head kick that misses.
Sahebt throws a body punch but Chernyshevsky moves out of range.
Chernyshevsky looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Sahebt is looking to clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sahebt takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Sahebt misses with the combination.
Chernyshevsky throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sahebt just misses with a punch to the body.
Sahebt misses with an uppercut
and Chernyshevsky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sahebt missing with a left hand there. Chernyshevsky was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sahebt gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sahebt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chernyshevsky lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


Sahebt is rocked!
Sahebt is breathing heavily.
Sahebt takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Sahebt is still on wobbly legs! Can Chernyshevsky finish him?
Chernyshevsky displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Sahebt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chernyshevsky paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chernyshevsky drops Sahebt with a naaaaasty hook - Sahebt is in real trouble here! Chernyshevsky dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rakhmetov Chernyshevsky!
Rakhmetov Chernyshevsky took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I'll tear your empire down.'.
