Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dixie Normous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dixie Normous was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Normous in his tracks.

and Sullivan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Normous's guard now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sullivan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Normous is just riding it out for now. Sullivan eventually gives up the hold.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sullivan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sullivan wants to control the pace but Normous is squirming around nicely.

Sullivan goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Normous is on top in guard.

Normous moves forwards but Sullivan connects with a nice, crisp jab.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sullivan throws a leg kick that misses.
Sullivan digs a good hook to Normous's body.
Normous takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Normous steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sullivan.

Sullivan has Normous up against the cage in a clinch.
Normous takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sullivan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Normous looks to throw the jab but Sullivan is out of range.
Sullivan throws a looping overhand right but Normous ducks down to avoid it.
Sullivan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rocky Sullivan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sullivan is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nice body punch from Normous.
Sullivan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Normous.
Sullivan works the jab nicely.
Normous lands a nice looking body shot.

Horrible takedown by Sullivan or perhaps it was just good defense by Normous which made him look bad.
Normous connects with a body shot that sends Sullivan's belly button to the back.
Sullivan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Normous's waist but Normous gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sullivan off to one side.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sullivan throws a body punch but Normous moves out of range.
Sullivan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Normous but Normous pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well Sullivan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
