Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Benevides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Payne comes into the arena with French Montana - Ocho Cinco blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Benevides!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne lands with a thumping leg kick.
Benevides shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Benevides takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Benevides shoots and misses
and Payne makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Benevides doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Payne counters with a nice low kick that buckles Benevides's knee momentarily.
Marcus Payne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Benevides.
Payne fails to land with a series of punches.
Payne lands with a kick to the ribs.
Benevides has his takedown stuffed
and Payne counters with a good low kick that Benevides was not able to check.
Benevides misses with a takedown attempt
and Payne counters with a straight right hand.
Benevides looks winded!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Benevides walks into a jab.
Payne digs a good body shot into Benevides's ribs.
Payne lands with a nice body kick.
Payne looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Payne scores with the left hand. Benevides knows he should have avoided that one.
Benevides gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Payne counter with a right hand.
Benevides is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Payne moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Payne!
Marcus Payne bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
