Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lebron James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, George St Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lebron James! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James shoots in but St Pierre avoids the takedown attempt easily. James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. St Pierre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. James is looking to clinch but St Pierre is avoiding it.
St Pierre gets in close and instigates a clinch. St Pierre decides to pull guard. St Pierre is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. St Pierre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and James defends well. St Pierre throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
James trying to control but St Pierre is working from the bottom. St Pierre lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for James!

St Pierre looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. James regains half guard. St Pierre is pressing down on James's thigh, looking to free his foot. St Pierre works the jab nicely. James throws a body punch but St Pierre moves out of range. St Pierre shoots in looking for a takedown but James manages to keep the fight standing, pushing St Pierre's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. St Pierre has a takedown stuffed. James looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. St Pierre fails miserably with a takedown attempt. James throws a head kick that misses and St Pierre counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for James! James is looking for a sweep. That's going to sap some energy. James doesn't succeed with the takedown and St Pierre counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by St Pierre. James keeping moving, preventing St Pierre from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. St Pierre throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as James works some decent striking defense from the bottom. St Pierre's corner is telling him to maintain position.

George St Pierre has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. James gets caught flat footed, as St Pierre shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James working for a triangle but St Pierre defends it easily.

Nicely done. St Pierre gets control of James's arms and successfully pulls guard. St Pierre will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. James wanted to stand there but St Pierre had control of the position. St Pierre looking for a sweep. Not yet St Pierre, not yet. St Pierre is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

St Pierre is really struggling to control James but he's trying to hold on to the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. George St Pierre wasn't doing enough on the ground. St Pierre leaves James with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. George St Pierre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. St Pierre instigates a clinch. St Pierre is stalling here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. St Pierre letting James take a breather here. St Pierre breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

St Pierre scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. George St Pierre overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. St Pierre wants to control the pace but James is squirming around nicely. St Pierre wants to take his opponent's back but James doesn't allow it. St Pierre can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as James is looking to escape. St Pierre looking to finish James with some ground and pound. This is bad for James!

St Pierre swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and James is now in St Pierre's guard. A big mistake from St Pierre there, giving up the dominant position!

St Pierre shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. St Pierre looks for the body kick but James saw that one coming. A combination from James does no damage. St Pierre throws an overhand right that lands on James's shoulder, as James tries to avoid the shot. St Pierre drives through and clinches with James against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. James wants to stand but St Pierre has a closed guard, so he can't escape. St Pierre has his foot on James's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. James works his way back into a safe position though. James seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. St Pierre looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
