Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Advice Mallard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alvin Jasper Aroncillo! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Aroncillo misses. Aroncillo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mallard looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Mallard tries to bench press Aroncillo off him but Aroncillo keeps the position. The ground and pound from Aroncillo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Mallard is looking for a sweep. Mallard is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Aroncillo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Mallard is trying to control but can't.
Aroncillo is trying to improve position by moving to mount. Mallard has hold of his neck though and manages to move into guard! All of a sudden, Aroncillo is in a lot of trouble! Mallard is straining to finish and he's done it! Aroncillo taps out! Amazing!
