Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earl Bertane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Evurts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bertane kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eminem - Above The Law. Evurts has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Stephan Evurts was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertane doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Evurts connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bertane bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bertane working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Evurts parries the strikes from Bertane easily there. Bertane is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Evurts to escape.
Bertane misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
An elbow from Bertane crashes against the mat.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Bertane wants to control but Evurts is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Evurts's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bertane creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Evurts sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Evurts tries to bench press Bertane off him but Bertane keeps the position.
Evurts gets back to half guard.
Bertane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Evurts preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Bertane throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bertane is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Evurts is trying to escape the mount.
BOOM! Bertane connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Evurts is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Bertane throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Bertane avoids the attempt from Evurts to control.
Evurts is trying desperately to improve position.
Bertane postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Evurts looks a forlorn figure.
Bertane breaks from Evurts's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Bertane lands a heavy elbow.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Evurts is looking to improve his position but Bertane isn't that keen on the idea.
Evurts in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Bertane tries to control but Evurts wriggling away.

Evurts wants to control but Bertane is having none of it.
Evurts takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bertane unloads with some shots from mount but Evurts bucks and avoids them well.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Bertane! Evurts is hurt baaadly! Bertane is firing away with more strikes - Evurts is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
