The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yago swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Grand shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Yago eats them both and turns towards Grand to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Yago misses with a wild body shot.
Grand slips a jab from Yago.

Grand clinches up against the cage.
Yago tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Grand breaks the clinch.
A combination from Grand does no damage.
Grand works over Yago's head and body with a nice combination.
Grand ducks under a wild hook from Yago.
Yago misses with a body shot.
Yago missing with a left hand there. Grand was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Kaz Yago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yago throws a right hand that Grand ducks under and follows up with a left that Grand also avoids with ease.
Yago connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Yago. Grand does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grand looks to land a left hand but Yago moved out of range nicely.

Yago rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grand moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Grand has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Grand there as he acknowledges the shot.

Grand ducks straight into an uppercut from Yago and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Grand manages to regain guard straight away.

Yago is pushing down on Grand's leg trying to pass to half guard. Grand is fighting to maintain full guard but Yago has managed to sneak the leg through.
Grand is still in real trouble! Can Yago finish him?

Yago in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Grand tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Yago!
