Powers's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Californication. Jimmy Powers has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Powers throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tim.
Powers scores with a jab.
Tim walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Powers lands with a thumping leg kick.
Powers stalks Tim and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tim's face. Tim staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Powers blocks a leg kick.
Powers throws a head kick that half lands.
Powers scores with a leg kick.
Powers stuns Tim with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Tim gets caught flat footed, as Powers shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Powers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Powers will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Powers pushing down on Tim's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Powers is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Powers takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
