The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Charles is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Togawa's half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Charles seems to be working for a kimura but Togawa defends the submission attempt.
Charles thows a huge punch but Togawa dodges it nicely.
Togawa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Charles on the ground.
Togawa trying to hold on to Charles's head to control him but Charles postures up.
Charles seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Charles has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Togawa defend it? Charles steps over the head and cranks it - Togawa is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Charles!

John Charles decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
