Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Avreli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boyko Borisov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borisov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: AC/DC - Thunderstruck. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Avreli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Boyko Borisov!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borisov thows a body shot but no joy.
Avreli avoids the body shot from Borisov.
Avreli closes this distance looking for a takedown but Borisov circles away.
Borisov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


It looks like Mark Avreli has been cut.
Avreli closes the distance and clinches up with Borisov, looking for a takedown. Avreli pushes Borisov against the cage but Borisov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Avreli throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Borisov was covering up waiting for the punch and Avreli finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Avreli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Borisov tries to avoid it but Avreli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Borisov to the ground. Borisov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Borisov looks to land a right hand but Avreli moved out of range.
Avreli shoots in but no luck this time.

Avreli is trying hard to land a takedown here. Borisov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Avreli is defended easily by Borisov.
Avreli misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
No luck for Avreli with that takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Horrible takedown by Avreli or perhaps it was just good defense by Borisov which made him look bad.

Borisov throws a lazy right hand but Avreli sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Borisov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Avreli.
Avreli avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Borisov throws a poor cross that misses
and Avreli counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Borisov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Mark Avreli's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Avreli shoots in looking for a takedown but Borisov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Avreli's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
