Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Callaghan! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatsuhiko Jr loads up on a big right hand but Callaghan slips the punch. Callaghan misses with a body shot.
Callaghan slips a straight right by Tatsuhiko Jr. Callaghan lands with an uppercut that bounces Tatsuhiko Jr off the cage and back into range. Tatsuhiko Jr throws a chopping leg kick but Callaghan manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Callaghan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Callaghan cracks Tatsuhiko Jr with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Tatsuhiko Jr works the jab nicely. A chopping leg kick lands by Callaghan. Richard Callaghan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good leg kick by Callaghan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Callaghan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tatsuhiko Jr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tatsuhiko Jr just misses with a punch to the body.
Callaghan scores with the left hand. Tatsuhiko Jr knows he should have avoided that one. The fight moves into the clinch position. Tatsuhiko Jr has had enough of the clinch but Callaghan keeps him there for the moment. Callaghan pushes Tatsuhiko Jr back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tatsuhiko Jr takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsuhiko Jr dodges an elbow strike from Callaghan.
Tatsuhiko Jr takes a knee right on the jaw!
Callaghan creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Tatsuhiko Jr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Callaghan fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Callaghan moves into range and clinches up with Tatsuhiko Jr. Callaghan looking to throw knees to the head but Tatsuhiko Jr is blocking nicely.

Callaghan misses with a knee to the head. Callaghan lands an elbow inside that Tatsuhiko Jr shrugs off. Callaghan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tatsuhiko Jr's efforts to push away. Nice body punch from Tatsuhiko Jr - that landed with a thud.

Callaghan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tatsuhiko Jr's defenses.
Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr's cut is getting worse. Tatsuhiko Jr tries to circle away but Callaghan has him pinned against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsuhiko Jr misses with a body punch.
Tatsuhiko Jr tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Tatsuhiko Jr tries to pull guard but Callaghan forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Callaghan landing knees to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Callaghan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Callaghan lands an uppercut. Callaghan misses with an elbow over the top. Callaghan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Tatsuhiko Jr takes a knee right on the jaw!

Tatsuhiko Jr is rocked! Still in the clinch, Callaghan scores with a nice short uppercut. Oh Tatsuhiko Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Callaghan using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tatsuhiko Jr has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Callaghan unloads an enormous knee to the head! That's knocked Tatsuhiko Jr out cold! Holy cow, it was almost as if it lifted Tatsuhiko Jr off his feet!
