The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mailov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A slapping body kick lands there for Mailov.
Petke takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Petke tries to clinch up
and Mailov counters with a low kick, right behind Petke 's knee.
Petke throws a leg kick
and Mailov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Petke tries for a takedown but Mailov circles away easily
and Mailov counters with a good low kick that Petke was not able to check.

and Mailov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Maxim Mailov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Petke on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mailov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Petke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Petke jabs at Mailov's body.
Petke is looking to clinch but Mailov is avoiding it.
Mailov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Petke tries to clinch but Mailov is having none of it.
Mailov connects with a solid leg kick.

Petke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mailov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mailov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Petke - the referee stops the clock and Mailov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Petke. Mailov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Petke lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mailov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mailov wants it to stay on the feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Petke is fighting to break Mailov's control of his arms but Mailov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petke prevents Mailov from getting back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mailov pulls Petke in close to prevent any damage.

Mailov connects with a good right hand that stumbles Petke. Petke circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mailov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Petke is rocked!
Mailov throws an uppercut from hell that sends Petke clean off his feet! He's out cold! Mailov stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
