Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tourney Champ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raistlin Majere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raistlin Majere will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tourney Champ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Raistlin Majere!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Champ closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Majere did well to prevent Champ getting side control.
Majere wants to get back to full guard.
Majere is pressing down on Champ's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Majere looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Champ wants to control from the top but Majere keeps moving.
Champ connects with a couple of short punches.
Champ throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Majere seems keen to control Champ's posture.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Majere fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Majere shoots in looking for a takedown but Champ manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Majere's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Majere rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Champ moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Champ comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Champ closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Majere is trying to get back to full guard.
Champ lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Majere moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Majere seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Champ might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Majere looks up at the clock and then as Champ takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Majere smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Tourney Champ will probably get the nod.

Majere manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Champ manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Majere cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Majere has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Champ's face.

Majere has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Majere is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Champ can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well Majere has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
