Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Don Cragen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Better Muller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cragen comes to the cage accompanied by Captain Cragen. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Better Muller was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Cragen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Better Muller! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cragen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Muller uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Muller. Those never looked like landing. Some wild striking there from Muller.
Cragen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Muller as he jumps to the side. Muller feints a jab promting Cragen to slip. Muller then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cragen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Cragen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Muller sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cragen somewhat. Cragen closes the distance and clinches up with Muller, looking for a takedown. Cragen pushes Muller against the cage but Muller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Cragen. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cragen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Muller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Muller looks to land a left hand but Cragen moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muller ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Cragen is breathing heavily. Cragen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Muller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cragen. Muller is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cragen's half guard. Muller wants to pass the guard but Cragen is defending well. Muller slips a nice elbow through Cragen's hands, connecting with Cragen's forehead. Muller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Cragen is refusing to be controlled, as Muller sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Muller stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cragen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cragen blocks an uppercut.

Cragen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cragen goes for a takedown attempt but Muller pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cragen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Muller sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Muller enables Cragen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Muller manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Cragen won't allow Muller to sweep him here. Cragen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cragen stopping the sweep attempt from Muller.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cragen kicks Muller off and gets back to his feet. Cragen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Muller defends it nicely. Muller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cragen. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cragen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Muller cracks a nice hook into Cragen's ribs. The fighters circle momentarily. Muller darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Muller connects with a body shot that sends Cragen's belly button to the back. Cragen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Muller throws a right hand that Cragen ducks under and follows up with a left that Cragen also avoids with ease. Muller's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Muller duly obliges.
It looks like Don Cragen has been cut. Muller walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Cragen drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Muller swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Cragen's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Better Muller!
