Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Hitchhiker!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Chan.
Hitchhiker throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Chan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hitchhiker throws a hook to the side of Chan's head but Chan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hitchhiker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Chan.
Hitchhiker throws a head kick that misses.
Hitchhiker throws a head kick but Chan moves out of range.
Hitchhiker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chan blocks a head kick by Hitchhiker.
Hitchhiker throws a leg kick
and Chan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hitchhiker is lucky that one didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hitchhiker throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Chan moves out of range of the body kick from Hitchhiker.
Hitchhiker throws a sloppy head kick
and Chan counters with a left to the body.
Hitchhiker looks winded!

Hitchhiker takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Chan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hitchhiker tries a head kick but it misses.
Hitchhiker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hitchhiker throws a lazy head kick
and Chan counters with a stiff right hand.
Hitchhiker is rocked!
Chan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chan doesn't manage to clinch there - Hitchhiker circles away.
Ryan Hitchhiker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hitchhiker wants to land a leg kick but Chan is out of range.
Hitchhiker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Chan can pounce on him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chan closes the distance and clinches.
Chan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Chan unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hitchhiker lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hitchhiker takes a knee to the side of the body.
Chan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Chan throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Hitchhiker crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Paul Chan!
