Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Agung Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Lauzon!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lauzon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kang clinches with his opponent.
Kang lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kang digs a right hand into Lauzon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lauzon's gas tank.
Lauzon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kang walks away with a smile on his face. Lauzon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lauzon throws a right and a left that Kang avoids nicely.
Lauzon misses with the combination.

Kang has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lauzon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kang pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Lauzon takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like Joe Lauzon has been cut.
Lauzon fails to pull guard.
Agung Kang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Lauzon.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kang pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A left and a right from Lauzon both land. Nice combination.
Lauzon swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Kang counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Kang stands up out of the half guard.
Joe Lauzon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kang has managed to clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kang.
Lauzon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lauzon looks winded!
Lauzon tries to pull guard but Kang won't allow it.
Kang lands an elbow inside.

Kang has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lauzon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Kang gets to his feet and calls for his opponent to stand and trade! Heeeere we go!
Sloppy strikes from Lauzon. Those never looked like landing.

Kang darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Kang gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Lauzon misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Kang counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Kang decides to stand and escape the position.
Lauzon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lauzon's guard.

Kang decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Lauzon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kang is looking to score with low kicks.
Lauzon throws a low kick but Kang avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lauzon pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kang shoots in and bounces Lauzon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kang decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lauzon, up you get!
Joe Lauzon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lauzon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Kang counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lauzon is looking to reverse the position.

Kang stands up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lauzon misses the body punch

and Kang counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Kang stands up from Lauzon's guard - Kang perhaps looking for a knockout.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kang.

Lauzon looks to throw the jab but Kang is out of range.

Lauzon misses with an uppercut

and Kang counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kang lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lauzon backwards.
Kang lands a nice elbow.
Lauzon takes an elbow to the forehead.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kang lands an elbow inside.


Lauzon is rocked!
A fake to the body and Kang gets the Thai clinch. He wastes no time and tries to connect with knees to the head. This is dangerous for Lauzon! He should get out! Another devastating knee and Lauzon falls head first to the ground. It's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Agung Kang!
Agung Kang decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
