Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esch chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McDonald can pounce on him.
Eric Esch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Esch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A slapping body kick lands there for McDonald.
McDonald fails in his attempt to clinch.
McDonald throws a good cross that connects.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McDonald lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
McDonald jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Esch takes a swing at McDonald's ribcage but misses.
McDonald lands with a thumping leg kick.
Esch is breathing heavily.
McDonald lands with an uppercut that bounces Esch off the cage and back into range.
Esch is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. McDonald doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Esch crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Esch's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony McDonald! Tony McDonald retains his super heavyweight title!
