Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Pas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sheldon Pas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Smith!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a wild body kick that Pas sees coming a mile off.
Pas tries to clinch but Smith moves out of range.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Pas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sam Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Smith is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pas is pulling down on Smith's head. It's preventing any offense from Smith, at least for the moment.
Smith prevents Pas from getting back to his feet.
Smith trying to control but Pas is working from the bottom.
Smith throws a big right hand that misses.
Smith wants to stand but Pas is controlling his posture from full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Sam Smith hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Pas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pas somewhat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pas sprawls well. Pas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Pas stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Sheldon Pas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Smith.
Smith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pas is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Smith off and has taken his back!
Pas lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Pas.
Pas misses with punches from the back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pas thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith is really stuck here.
Pas lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Smith trying to control the hands but Pas won't let him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pas working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Smith is doing well to defend. Pas seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Smith is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sheldon Pas!
Sheldon Pas decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
