And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant misses with a lunging right hand
and Gibson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grant won't be happy with that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gibson fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Grant is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gibson off and has taken his back!
Gibson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Grant's guard. Nice work there by Gibson.

Gibson shoots for a double leg takedown but Grant sprawls well. He's pushed Gibson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Grant lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gibson circles away quickly and effectively.
Ted Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grant connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gibson. Gibson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gibson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grant is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gibson, into his guard.
Gibson wants to hit a switch here but Grant passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gibson there!

Grant wants to control the pace but Gibson is squirming around nicely.
Gibson is wriggling around trying to escape.

Gibson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Grant should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gibson has tightened it up now! Grant should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
