Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Dagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Killer Benji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Killer Benji was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Dagger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Killer Benji! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benji tries to clinch up. Dagger wants to clinch. Benji swats away the attempt to clinch by Dagger. The fight moves into the clinch position. A head punch on the inside from Benji fails to land. Dagger has Benji pressed against the cage.
Dagger throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Dagger manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Dagger gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Dagger postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dagger cracks Benji with a solid left hand. Dagger postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dagger throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benji has momentary wrist control but Dagger slips an elbow through the middle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dagger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dagger is in close to Benji's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dagger is stalling in the full guard. Dagger chips away with some ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dagger throwing strikes but missing. Dagger is working Benji over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Dagger distracts Benji with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Benji being controlled here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dagger slips nicely into half guard. Benji looks winded! Dagger works his way into full mount! Benji in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Benji is rocked!
It looks like Killer Benji has been cut. Dagger loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Benji scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Dagger land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Dagger stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Dagger!
