Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jrue Holiday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Spivey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holiday comes to the cage accompanied by I AM FUTURE. The key to victory for Jrue Holiday has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jrue Holiday! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Spivey! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Holiday enables Spivey to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Holiday manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spivey stands up from guard. Let's bang! Jrue Holiday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spivey tries a head kick but it misses.
Spivey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Spivey tries to free his leg and advance position but Holiday is retaining full guard. Holiday controls Spivey momentarily but Spivey frees himself. Spivey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Spivey trying to control but Holiday is working from the bottom. Holiday escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spivey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spivey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Holiday utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Spivey tries to free his leg and advance position but Holiday is retaining full guard.

Holiday keeping moving, preventing Spivey from controlling successfully. Spivey won't allow Holiday to get back to his feet. Holiday is breathing heavily. Spivey controlling from the top position. Holiday looking for a guillotine here but Spivey defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spivey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holiday swivels though and keeps the full guard. Spivey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Spivey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Holiday throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Spivey is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Holiday as he works his way to full guard.
Spivey slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Holiday trying to remain calm as Spivey controls from the top position. Spivey working the body and head with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spivey stands up and we're back to a striking position. This has been an exciting period of action! Spivey blocks a head kick by Holiday.

Holiday throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Spivey should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Spivey throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Holiday was covering up waiting for the punch and Spivey finishes the takedown easily into guard. Holiday throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Spivey wants to pass the guard but Holiday is keeping the position. Spivey is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Spivey stands and steps away. Holiday gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Excellent takedown into side control there by Spivey. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Spivey decides to stand back up. Spivey steps back and let's Holiday get back to his feet.

Spivey lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Holiday. Spivey is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Holiday is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Spivey blocks an elbow strike from Holiday.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Spivey as Holiday tries to tie him up. Spivey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Spivey throws a head kick that misses. Holiday misses with a takedown and Spivey counters with a single leg into guard. Holiday didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spivey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Holiday will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Spivey slips nicely into half guard. Spivey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sam Spivey has got the better of the ground game so far. Spivey is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Holiday still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Holiday has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Spivey tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Holiday wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Spivey is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Holiday's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Holiday wants to take a breather but Spivey is having none of it. Spivey controlling the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spivey is staying active underneath Holiday, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Holiday is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Spivey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Holiday. Spivey wants to control but Holiday is keeping busy and won't allow it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Holiday wants to take a breather but Spivey is having none of it. Spivey is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Holiday pulls his head out easily. Holiday is trying to control. Spivey wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Spivey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Spivey gets to his feet. Holiday looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Spivey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Holiday is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Holiday regains half guard, as Spivey was trying to land strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spivey works his foot free and advances to mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Holiday really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Holiday reaches up to try and control the position but Spivey seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Holiday rolls and tries to escape and now Spivey has his back!
Holiday covering up well under a barage of strikes. Spivey looking for the choke from the back. Spivey doesn't have the hooks in and Holiday manages to turn into his guard.
Spivey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spivey pushes Holiday off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Holiday throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Spivey closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Holiday's face as he tries to break the clinch. Holiday tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Spivey's elbow. Spivey lands a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spivey prevents Holiday from getting back to his feet. Spivey controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Spivey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Spivey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
