Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Gaffney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Butrovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Gaffney is refusing to be controlled, as Butrovic sits in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Butrovic connects with a nice short shot to Gaffney's temple.
Still in half guard, Butrovic seems content to control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Butrovic loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gaffney scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Butrovic land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Butrovic stands and salutes the crowd.
