Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Nwachukwu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hugo Reyes!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nwachukwu has closed the distance and engaged Reyes in a clinch.
Reyes jumps guard but Nwachukwu stands there with Reyes around his waist. Reyes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nwachukwu throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Reyes blocks it with crossed arms.
Nwachukwu is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Reyes is keeping busy.
Reyes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nwachukwu smiles and moves away.
Reyes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Reyes's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Nwachukwu will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Reyes up against the cage.

The cut above Hugo Reyes's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Reyes tries to pull guard but Nwachukwu forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nwachukwu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reyes was well out of range. Poor timing from Nwachukwu.
Nwachukwu throws a lazy right hand but Reyes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
No joy there for Nwachukwu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nwachukwu misses with a head kick.
Nwachukwu tries to sprawl but Reyes drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Reyes seems to be looking for submissions.
Reyes is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Reyes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nwachukwu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Reyes.
Reyes is pressing down on Nwachukwu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nwachukwu is holding on for now.

Reyes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nwachukwu is trying to stand up here but Reyes is controlling him well.
Nwachukwu trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Reyes is trying to control. Nwachukwu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Reyes wants to advance to full mount but Nwachukwu doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Reyes has gone for a leg lock! Nwachukwu slips out almost immediately though and dives into Reyes's guard.

Nwachukwu wants to stand but Reyes is controlling his posture from full guard.

Reyes looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nwachukwu has picked Reyes up and slammed him! Reyes can't keep hold of the triangle and Nwachukwu manages to pass to side control!

Nwachukwu is pressing down on Reyes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reyes is holding on for now.
Reyes is pressing down on Nwachukwu's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Nwachukwu is really struggling to control Reyes but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Nwachukwu is sitting in close to Reyes's body. Reyes has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Nwachukwu is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Nwachukwu is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Reyes.
