Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Baggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Henderson! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baggins wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sloppy strikes from Baggins. Those never looked like landing. Baggins takes a swing at Henderson's ribcage but misses. Henderson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Roy Henderson has been cut. Baggins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Henderson. Baggins swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Baggins feints a jab promting Henderson to slip. Baggins then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Henderson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Baggins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Baggins circles away from the clinch attempt and Baggins counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Henderson thinking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson darts in trying to clinch and Baggins counters with a two punch combo. Henderson takes a body punch but keeps moving. Henderson looks to clinch and Baggins counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Baggins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Henderson circles away quickly and effectively. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A jab lands there for Baggins. Baggins with a body punch. A glancing blow. Henderson closes the distance looking to clinch and Baggins counters with a crisp one two that drops Henderson! Baggins thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Henderson to his feet! Henderson is in big trouble!
Henderson is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Baggins just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Henderson has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Fred Baggins! Fred Baggins seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
