Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Francis Drake!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johansen lands with a good body shot.
Drake takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Johansen's jab looks to have found its range, popping Drake under the eye.
Johansen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Drake with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johansen to score with a decent uppercut.

and Drake counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johansen's guard now.
Johansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Francis Drake hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Johansen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Johansen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Drake backs up against the cage.
Drake swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johansen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Drake on the side of the head.

Johansen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Drake stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters circle momentarily. Johansen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Johansen lands with an uppercut that bounces Drake off the cage and back into range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johansen. Drake does a little dance to reset his feet.

Johansen jabs Drake right on the nose. Drake blinks but takes it well.
Drake shoots in for a takedown but Johansen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Johansen, as that shot connected.

Drake changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johansen tries to avoid it but Drake manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johansen to the ground. Johansen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Drake looks up at the clock. Bad move! Johansen lands a right hand from hell, dropping Drake. Johansen pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
