PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Allen Weken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Numan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weken has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weken shoots and misses

and Numan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Weken's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Numan has gone for a leg lock! Weken slips out almost immediately though and dives into Numan's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Numan keeping moving, preventing Weken from controlling successfully.
Weken won't allow Numan to sweep him here.
Numan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Numan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Weken is one step ahead there.
Numan has control of Weken's left arm, preventing Weken from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Numan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Weken doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Numan is tightening it up a little... Weken has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Weken reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Weken taps out! Nice BJJ there by Numan!

After the fight, Arthur Numan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
